Threat Actors can trigger the clear mode accessing TC or consuming its resources, , to disable or limit the security level of the spacecraft. If a 'clear mode' is implemented, the conditions under which, and by which, it is activated should be carefully analyzed, as those might introduce major security vulnerabilities.
This type of attack technique cannot be easily mitigated with preventive controls since it is based on the abuse of system features.
