Threat actors may deploy kinetic physical attacks to damage or destroy space- or land-based space assets. The nature of these attacks makes them easier to attribute and allow for better confirmation of success on the part of the attacker.
This type of attack technique cannot be easily mitigated with preventive controls since it is based on the abuse of system features.
